PREMIUM OPTIONAL CONTEST

format

  • If you have ever thought about being a broadcast journalist, politician, or are you passionate about a meaningful topic - this is for you!

  • You will enter the stage center-back opening.

  • The MC will be reading about you as upbeat music plays in the background.

  • Advance to the center-front of the stage and do a circle turn, then head to the podium located on side of the stage.

  • At the podium deliver your speech (pageant staff will have already placed a copy of your speech at the podium for you).

  • When finished, smile, and exit the stage via the opening behind the podium.

attire & RULES

  • You will deliver a presentation on a topic of your choice from the podium. Some examples are: why I say no drugs, what friendship means to me, animal adoption, etc.

  • Outfits must be professional in nature. See interview outfit rules for more info.

  • Time limit 1.5 minutes and starts when you arrive at the podium & begin speaking.

  • You do not have to have this memorized. A copy of your speech will be waiting for you on the podium if you need. However, you will score higher if you have it memorized.

  • Make-up is allowed for all age groups, as long as it is keeping in theme with the outfit and/or performance and is age appropriate

There will be a scheduled time where the stage will be available on a first-come-first serve basis to practice.

You bring

  • Business/professional/interview outfit of your choice.

  • Spokesmodel card (located in your pageant paperwork. This card will be submitted at pageant check-In and handed back to you just prior to the spokesmodel event)

On pageant weekend you will submit the corresponding check-in form for each Premium Optional Contest found here.
